- Sony confirms that it will not be attending E3 2020.
- Some has suggested that this could be the end of E3.
- Sony is one of several gaming companies that have dropped out of the event.
After Sony confirmed that it will not be attending E3 2020, a popular suggestion on social media was that this was the end of E3. Microsoft will be at E3 2020, likely sharing more about the Xbox Series X. But it may not be able to carry the whole event on its shoulders.
Sony isn’t the only major gaming company that has chosen to skip E3. That’s why so many people are wondering whether there is room for the event. E3 seems like a very expensive tradition compared to the way that gaming companies have started to reveal games. Developers are now much more concerned about getting their games played by streamers and fans to post messages on social media. An announcement stream also costs less money.
Another company that has thought this way is EA, which develops and publishes series such as Madden NFL and Battlefield. The company does hold EA Play events just before E3, but these aren’t held in the same hall as the main E3. At these events, fans of EA games can play newly announced games as well as meet professional athletes, popular streamers, and celebrities.
World of Tanks developer Wargaming stopped holding E3 events in 2016. Disney Interactive also stopped attending in 2016. Games like Call of Duty have just asked for a spot in the PlayStation E3 event for years as it’s cheaper.
Blizzard Entertainment has held its BlizzCon event every year since 2005. This allows it to make announcements about new games, hold competitions, and meet fans at one time. It can plan things its way. This does cost a huge amount of money, but this sort of fan event is what Sony and so many other gaming companies are looking for.

Dec 04, 2019 at 12:17 // News Bitcoin Cash continues its bearish run but may revisit the price at $192. It has maintained its fluctuation within the price range of $200 and $240. Nevertheless, the bears had at one time broken the support as the price reaches another low of $192. There was a spontaneous pullback as BCH moved up toward the earlier range. Selling has resumed as the price heads to the bottom of the chart. The selling possibly will continue and reach the price at $192. A break below the $192 low may depreciate the coin. That is, it will signal a downtrend. Conversely, a bounce at the support will compel the market to begin a range-bound movement. Bitcoin Cash Indicator Reading BCH is nearing level 34 of the Relative Strength Index. This implies that the downtrend is deepening. BCH may decline as the coin is trading below the EMAs. City of London Police have arrested a 19-year-old citizen suspected of hacking major music acts in a bid to steal unreleased songs and sell them for digital currency, Canadian daily newspaper The Vancouver Sun reported on Sept. 13. The Manhattan District Attorney’s office initiated an investigation after receiving complaints from management companies of recording artists. Commenting on the matter, Detective Inspector Nick Court from the City of London Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit stated: “Today’s action marks a significant point in our investigation into the individuals responsible for stealing music and selling it on illegal streaming websites, worldwide.” Crypto facilitates crime? Criminals have increasingly used cryptocurrencies for illicit activities, according to blockchain security company CipherTrace. In 2019, bad actors primarily used Bitcoin (BTC) for buying and selling illegal drugs, weapons, as well as cyber and banking credentials on darknet markets. Neil Wals, chief of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Global Cybercrime Program, warned last month that cryptocurrencies have made combating money laundering significantly harder. He believes that cryptocurrencies add a layer of secrecy, which can facilitate crime….Sep 14, 2019
It’s been an interesting and confusing year for Bitcoin price, with the crypto asset bottoming out in $3,100 at levels of extreme fear and panic, then in just a few months growing 350% and once again causing talk of moonshots and Lambos across the market. In fact, during the most recent “echo bubble” as it’s being called, the perceived value of Bitcoin exceeded that of the peak 2017 crypto bubble mania. However, price fell short of setting new high alongside the lofty price perception, and one analyst says that data point looks “bad” for Bitcoin, and says that prices of $2020 in the year 2020 aren’t that “crazy.” Bitcoin Perceived Price Value Reaches Crypto Bubble Levels After a stellar year for Bitcoin, bringing investors who bought the bottom over 350% in gains from trough to peak, the crypto market has once again turned bearish. Following the top of the 2019 parabolic rally back in June, the market has slowly returned to a state of fear, panic, and despair. The experts have had a rough few days. Anthony Pompliano, co-founder and partner at Morgan Digital Creek, spoke to CNN about Warren Buffett’s poor view of Bitcoin. The Sage of Omaha had said that he doesn’t own any BTC and sees no value in digital currencies. Pompliano argued that Buffett might be a whiz when it comes to spotting stocks but he’s not so great when it comes to technology. Someone else who turned out not to be so great at technology is an anonymous Chinese crypto whale who is reported to have lost $30 million worth of BCH and $15 million worth of BTC in a sim swap. We’ve seen those before so keeping that kind of money in such a vulnerable spot… well, that’s about as thoughtless as not seeing any value in digital currencies. At least that whale can say he was robbed though. Irish drug dealer Clifton Collins has just lost nearly $60 million worth of Bitcoin. The former beekeeper had used his drug money to buy 6,000 Bitcoins in 2011, when the currency cost just…Feb 29, 2020
A popular sentiment that has developed over the past few days is that XRP, the third-largest crypto by market capitalization, is poised to explode higher. Top altcoins, after all, have seen strong performances over the past few weeks, with Ethereum, especially, starting to post notable gains against Bitcoin. Luke Martin, a prominent crypto trader featured on CNN last year, summed up the hype well by posting the four charts seen below. In reference to them, he wrote: “Major alts have high correlation, with charts often looking identical. Some lead. Some lag. But they trend together forming tops/bottoms ~ same time. EOS & XRP lagging behind up only 5% from the lows.” These charts would suggest that barring a large sell-off in the crypto market, XRP (and EOS for that matter) is poised to achieve a considerable upside against Bitcoin. But, not everyone is in agreement with this sentiment, pointing to four technical and fundamental reasons to back an opinion that XRP won’t be subject to the same gains as, say, Ethereum. Blockchain analysis company Coin Metrics has found that while Bitcoin (BTC) was experiencing its biggest daily drop in the last seven years, stablecoins reaped the benefits. Coin Metrics, which conducts analysis of various aspects of cryptocurrency tokens, released their State of the Network report on March 23. The report focused on how the rest of the crypto market fared during the BTC crash two weeks ago. According to Coin Metrics data, stablecoins gained market share, spreads on spot and futures markets widened, and transfer fees spiked as people rushed to deposit coins. Crypto holders may have been turning to stablecoins in an attempt to preserve their capital while the market experienced a major downturn. Many stablecoins make notable gains after crash As Cointelegraph has reported, stablecoins like Circle’s USD Coin (USDC) had their market caps reach new all-time highs two days after the downturn. Stablecoin market caps are generally expected to increase after a major crypto market downturn, but that did not happen in this case. “Stablecoin transfer value hit an all-time high amidst the market turmoil. Leading crypto exchange company Binance, announced it has successfully launched their validator node on the Theta Network. a decentralized video streaming platform. By running an Enterprise Validator Node, Binance joins other global enterprises such as Blockchain Ventures and gumi Cryptos in securing the Theta blockchain and is participating directly in Theta block production. Calls for free speech have ramped up online among Chinese citizens. The death of the doctor who was silenced for sounding the alarm on coronavirus has outraged the nation. A missing citizen journalist is the latest to add fuel to the growing resistance against government censorship. The coronavirus epidemic has shown no signs of slowing over the past week, and many are starting to look more critically at Beijing’s handling of the crisis. More specifically, Chinese citizens are starting to question whether their government’s crack-down on “rumors” has put their nation, and world, at risk. Dr Li’s Death Starts Free Speech Movement It all started back in December when an ophthalmologist in Wuhan sent a message to a few of his physician friends warning them of “seven confirmed cases of SARS.” Later that doctor, Li Wenliang, followed up with those friends to say it wasn’t SARS, but unspecified coronavirus. If Dr. Li’s calls had been taken seriously, coronavirus may not have spread so rapidly. Image: Dale De La Rey/AFP In the days that followed, Li faced disciplinary action as government…Feb 10, 2020
