In just six years, the market for long-term care in the United States will reach $737 billion. Despite the growing demand for long-term care services, many facilities struggle to stay in business and many have closed their doors due to high operating costs. In 2018, 52 million Americans were over the age of 65. By 2060 that number will nearly double. How can post-acute care businesses stay afloat amid rising costs and diminishing reimbursement rates to meet the rising demand? More than half of Americans will need long-term care in their lifetimes, and one in seven will need it for five years or more. Unfortunately over the last 20 years, half of hospital-based nursing facilities have closed, 16% of certified nursing homes have closed, and 10% of rural nursing homes have closed or merged. This is due to a number of different factors. One of the biggest is the Medicaid shortfall. Today 67% of nursing home costs are covered by Medicaid, and it rarely covers the cost of care for an individual. In Massachusetts the average Medicaid shortfall…Jan 15, 2020
Members of the United States (U.S) congress sent a letter to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) urging the agency to provide additional clarity on cryptocurrency tax laws. This letter followed one sent earlier to the IRS in April urging the issuance of guidance for taxpayers who use cryptocurrencies to pay taxes. IRS originally came out with an official ruling on cryptocurrency tax expectations on Oct. 9, 2019, according to reports. The ruling noted several points of taxation, including a tax on holders in the event of a cryptocurrency fork or airdrop, regardless of the circumstance. The recent letter faults the initial IRS ruling mentioning that it used hypothetical examples for reference. These references according to the query are not applicable or plausible and are therefore unclear for tax-paying citizens. The congress letter further specified “dominion and control” as relating to forks and airdrops in the Oct. 9 IRS ruling, requesting transparency on the matter. On the other hand, this clarification is happening in a time when the congress is pressuring for regulatory clarification regarding digital assets. Congress draft: Crypto-Currency Act…Dec 22, 2019
The S&P 500 went into bear market territory this week, ending a historic decade-long run. Warren Buffett is poised to “buy when there’s blood in the streets.” The Oracle of Omaha has $128 billion in spare cash to buy stocks during this downturn. The Dow Jones and S&P 500 have officially entered a bear market. And nobody is better prepared for this than Warren Buffett. The Oracle of Omaha has $128 billion sitting on the sidelines, waiting to pounce on this market. He waited until there was blood in the streets. Well, the streets are bloody. And he’s ready to buy. Asked whether he was worried about this week’s stock market crash, he was unfazed: The 2008 financial crisis “was much more scary, by far, than anything that happened [this week].” Of course he’s not worried! He’s got $128 billion spare cash to go on a shopping spree for discount stocks and companies. Warren Buffett knew this crash was coming Many have criticised Warren Buffett for missing out on the late stage of the stock market’s 11-year bull run. Berkshire…Mar 14, 2020

Since the monthly close that transpired at the turn of the month (UTC), Bitcoin has tanked, falling 4% from the $6,500 price where it spent most of the past few hours to a low just above $6,250. The move lower began just eight minutes after the monthly candle closed, potentially suggesting that market players were intending to keep the cryptocurrency above a certain price ahead of that crucial event. What’s Next For Bitcoin? Most analysts seem to be convinced that the recent move lower is bearish for the cryptocurrency market, rather than a quick drop that will be followed by a bounce back to the mid-$6,000s. Although not a concrete prediction per se, Tyler Coates, a prominent crypto trader formerly known as “Financial Survivalism,” posted the below chart, showing that Bitcoin could head back into the $4,000s should it follow the inverse of the price action that transpired from March 12th to the 18th or so. May 06, 2020 at 11:08 // News After attaining its peak price of $280, Bitcoin Cash has been fluctuating between $200 and $280 since April 7. In the first attainment of peak price, BCH was overbought as the market slumped to $200. The bulls made a second attempt to break the overhead resistance, but the crypto fell to $250 support. BCH rebounds above the $250, yet the $280 resistance remains unbroken. The bulls and bears resorted to a range-bound movement between $200 and $280. Sellers have the upper hand as the coin trades below the $250 resistance. The crypto will further depreciate to $200 low if the selling pressure continues. Conversely, if the bulls push above $250 resistance, a retest of the overhead resistance is possible. Bitcoin Cash indicator reading BCH has been on a downward move after the second failed attempt to break the $280 resistance. Presently, BCH is below the 60 % range of the daily stochastic after the downward move. From the price action, the market is showing bearish signals. Bitcoin is gawking at extended losses only hours after it established a new yearly high at $10,500. The benchmark cryptocurrency on Thursday plunged by 3.86 percent to circa $10,094, according to US exchange Coinbase. The crash took bitcoin’s spot rate down by more than $400 within just three hours, showing fresh signs of buyers’ exhaustion in an otherwise booming market. BTC/USD eyeing a deeper correction below $10K | Source: TradingView.com, Coinbase Nevertheless, bitcoin’s move downhill located moderate support above $10,000. The cryptocurrency later managed to register an upside pullback, raising hopes for a retest of the $10,500 top. But the volumes appeared weaker enough to attempt a wild jump, putting bitcoin under the risks of continuing its plunge, now towards the $9,800-9,900 range (the pinked trendline support). A $2,000 Bitcoin Crash The overall BTC/USD trend remained bullish, with prices still up by circa 43 percent on a year-to-date timeframe. At the same time, the cryptocurrency continued trending above key long-term support areas, such as the 200-daily and 50-weekly moving average. The only indicator that signaled a selling sentiment was an…Feb 13, 2020
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin is signing a petition to free recently arrested developer Virgil Griffith. Buterin argues that Griffith’s North Korean speech was basically public knowledge anyway. Reasoning aside, Griffith still ignored a U.S. travel ban. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has come to the aid of estranged developer Virgil Griffith. FBI officials recently arrested the somewhat rogue developer in Los Angeles on Thanksgiving after he reportedly aided North Korea in its crypto development efforts. Vitalik Buterin Promises to Sign a Petition to Free Virgil Griffith CCN reported how the entire incident echoed an eerily prophetic New York Times profile that was made in 2008. A number of crypto outlets picked up on Griffith’s arrest, claiming that the Ethereum Foundation had distanced itself from the 36-year old and subsequently thrown him under a bus. That report was dismissed on Sunday when Buterin fired off several tweets in defense of his colleague: Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin will sign a petition to free Virgil Griffith. | Source: Twitter Buterin Argues No “Weird Hackery” Took Place Buterin’s Sunday Tweetstorm references a piece from…Dec 2, 2019

Twitter Facebook reddit Pinterest Hacker News LinkedIn Tumblr Google+ VKontakte Bitcoin price correlation with the traditional markets early start is worrying. Bitcoin price recovery is likely to continue stalling under $6,000 as it is not fundamentally ready for a rally. Bitcoin price correlation with the stock market is astonishing. Moreover, it has started sooner than it was expected. Many in the cryptocurrency market have been shocked by Bitcoin’s over 40% crash in the last week. The crash was so great that comeback signs were non-existent. Moreover, Bitcoin’s fundamental on-chain metrics have undergone major drastic changes in this period as well. Bitcoin’s volatility index, for instance, overshadowed levels in January and February when the price rallied to $10,500 from around $7,000. Discussions surrounding Bitcoin correlation with S&P 500 have taken center stage across the industry but a report by Kraken suggests that this correlation has been growing since the beginning of the year but has made rapid movements in the last seven days. At the moment, fundamentals for a rally remain drab because investors are still skeptical regarding Bitcoin’s stability. Besides,…Mar 18, 2020
