- Halo: Reach launched on PC earlier today.
- It’s already a top seller on Steam with over 130,000 concurrent players.
- It’s also the second most-watched category on Twitch, with over 130,000 viewers.
The remastered version of Halo: Reach bundled into The Master Chief Collection launched earlier today on PC via Steam, Xbox Game Pass, and Microsoft Store. By all accounts, the bundle’s jump to PC after releasing on Xbox One in 2014 has been a roaring success.
Way More Than 100,000 Concurrent Players
According to stats pulled directly from the Steam platform, there are over 133,000 concurrent Halo: Reach players as of writing. We don’t have figures for those playing via the Microsoft Store and Xbox Game Pass, but the number is presumably much higher when all platforms are factored in.

We’ll have to see whether the game can sustain these numbers over the long term. We have to account for a natural slump in interest as time wears on. What’s certain is that there’s an evident appetite for the franchise on PC, possibly fueled by a good old dose of nostalgia for many gamers.
It shouldn’t be too long before we see someone attempt to tackle the game in original fashion, as we saw recently when one gamer beat Halo 3 on legendary using a Guitar Hero controller.
